Communication Support Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Communication Support Professional to join our team in providing essential support to deaf and hard of hearing students.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating effective communication between teachers, students, and other staff members through Auslan interpretation. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality Auslan interpretation services to ensure equal access to education for deaf and hard of hearing students;
- Liaise with teachers, students, and other staff members to coordinate interpretation requirements;
- Maintain accurate records of interpretation sessions and provide feedback to improve service delivery;
- Stay up-to-date with current educational trends, technologies, and best practices in Auslan interpretation;
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement strategies to promote inclusive education practices.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Auslan interpretation, preferably in an educational setting;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills;
- Able to work effectively in a team environment and maintain confidentiality;
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing situations;
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry developments.
