Highly Specialized Intensive Care Healthcare Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team. With a post-graduate qualification in critical care and recent experience in emergency departments, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive patient care and coordinating the supervision of care provided by junior staff and students within critical care.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver direct total patient care to patients to achieve identified outcomes in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of and function in accordance with legislation and common law affecting nursing practice and acknowledge accountability/responsibility for own actions.
- Maintain and promote harmonious interpersonal relationships and effective teamwork between staff, patients, relatives, doctors, and ancillary staff.
- Assist and collaborate with team members in the assessment of allocated patients.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation.
- Communicate effectively with all members of the care team and report changes in patients' status to appropriate personnel.
- Initiate discharge planning on patients' admission to ensure appropriate use of resources and prepare the patient/family for discharge.
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
- Post-graduate qualification in critical care.
- Recent clinical experience within an emergency department with resuscitation and triage skills highly desirable.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to identify and solve problems.
- Commitment to quality patient care and patient satisfaction.
