Our Energy Minerals business is a leading provider of coal testing, analysis and expert advice in Australia.

We are currently looking for experienced professionals to join our operations, working in a fast-paced team in NSW. As a Coal Technician, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting physical coal sampling and testing routine samples
  • Providing high-quality samples to internal and external customers
  • Maintaining equipment and ensuring compliance with analytical methods and SGS Quality Systems & onsite HSE Standards

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Appropriate on-the-job training with 6-12 months experience in a laboratory or chemical process; OR
  • Completion of Higher School Certificate with passes in English, Maths and Science or equivalent
  • Progress towards or completion of relevant higher formal qualifications preferred
  • Completion of a numeracy, writing and comprehension test to required standard
  • Previous experience in a similar prep/laboratory is desirable but not essential
  • The ability to work in a team environment and meet tight deadlines
  • A valid driver's licence (Car - minimum green provisional Car Licence)
