Job Title: Senior Speech Pathologist

A highly supportive and welcoming business is seeking a Senior Speech Pathologist to join their team. This organisation provides quality therapy services in rural and remote communities in North Queensland and across Australia.

  • This role will involve providing high-quality and cost-effective services to all people seeking and receiving a service from the practice.
  • You will contribute to the planning, development, and delivery of services, including comprehensive assessments and individualised plans.
  • As a Senior Speech Pathologist, you will have the opportunity to exercise independent judgment on routine matters and contribute to quality improvement activities or research.
  • You will also be required to provide supervision to discipline-specific students and less experienced colleagues.

Key Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary degree or higher qualification from a recognised Tertiary Education Provider in Speech Therapy.
  • Membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card).
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card).

Essential Skills and Competencies:

  • Communication: ability to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending upon the audience.
  • Attention to detail: excellent attention to detail and written skills when communicating with others, both internally and externally.
  • Teamwork: willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members.
  • Time management/organisation: accomplish objectives effectively within timeframes given and carry out administrative duties within portfolio in an efficient and timely manner.
