Pathology Specialist

The role of Pathology Specialist involves servicing our clinical facility in Rockhampton. As a Pathology Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting and processing specimens, ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect blood and other samples from patients using established protocols.
  • Process Pathology specimens according to laboratory procedures.
  • Work independently, participating in weekend rosters at various collection centres.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience with venepuncture and vacutainer methods is essential.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, including interactions with healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Basic computer skills, proficiency in relevant software applications.
  • Compliance with Work Health and Safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Candidates must have the right to work in Australia and undergo a Working with Children Check clearance upon commencement of employment.
