Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join Arcare Aged Care as a Personal Support Worker, where you will play a crucial role in the overall wellbeing of our residents. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and support.

About the Role

As a Personal Support Worker at Arcare Surrey Hills, you will be responsible for providing quality personal, social, and emotional care and support to our residents. This includes assisting with activities such as showering, dressing, toileting, and grooming, maintaining their dignity and privacy.

You will also be involved in mobility support, helping residents with walking, using mobility aids, or transferring between different positions. Additionally, you will monitor health and observe any changes in the resident's condition, reporting them to relevant healthcare professionals.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Personal Care: Assist with daily living tasks to ensure residents maintain their independence and dignity.
  • Mobility Support: Help residents with mobility needs, including transfers and use of mobility aids.
  • Monitoring Health: Observe and report any changes in the resident's health or behavior.
  • Meal Assist: Support residents with their dietary requirements and assist with eating.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of care provided and observations.

We are looking for someone with Cert III Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent, who is adaptable, passionate, and willing to learn. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team.

Salary and Location

The estimated salary for this role is $30.34-$33.60 per hour, with opportunities for professional development and career progression. The location is Arcare Surrey Hills, VIC.
