Job Title: Senior Project Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Officer to join our team in the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of on-ground projects in south western Sydney, including koala fencing, ecological restoration, and fauna crossings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage delivery partners and budgets to ensure successful delivery of on-ground actions
  • Coordinate across agencies to ensure necessary environmental approvals are in place
  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive strategic outcomes and ensure effective project delivery

Requirements:

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead complex policy, strategic planning, or program initiatives
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage with diverse stakeholders
  • Proven experience in one or more of the following: policy development, strategic planning, on-ground delivery, or environmental assessments
  • A degree qualification in a related discipline or equivalent relevant experience
