Estimator Position

EnerMech is a rapidly growing global engineering company, providing industrial, integrity management, mechanical and electrical solutions to the oil, gas, petrochemical, mining and general industries. With extensive engineering offices and workshops located globally, we are ideally positioned to offer both niche services and bespoke integrated packages to our international customers' needs.

The role of Estimator is critical in contributing to the further growth and development of EnerMech's dynamic business. The successful candidate will have a sound understanding of the market and be able to determine competitive sell rates, enabling successful and profitable delivery of Projects for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed cost estimates for specialized projects, considering all aspects to ensure alignment with work scope, schedule, engineering and other project requirements.
  • Develop and manage approval and distribution of Basis of Estimate and Bid Review/Approval documentation.
  • Perform cost estimate escalation calculations and provide analysis reporting.
  • Conduct Cost Risk Analysis and provide analysis reporting.
  • Perform benchmarking on cost estimates and identify and report any deviations and causes.
  • Develop and evaluate Sub-contractor/Vendor RFQ's.
  • Assist Cost Controllers to monitor and manage project progress against the budget estimate.
  • Develop, monitor and report cost estimate management of change documentation and approvals.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an Estimating, Engineering or Project Management role, performing similar services.
  • Highly competent in Microsoft Excel.
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering – preferred.
  • Development of level 2/3 scheduled in Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 – preferred.
  • Advanced computer literacy with MS Office and an aptitude to learn.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex information to stakeholders.
