Electrical Estimator Role

This electrical estimator position is a key role within our organization, responsible for delivering accurate cost estimates and client proposals for EV charging and solar PV installations. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, the ability to interpret CAD drawings, and excellent communication skills.

Job Description:

As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for collaborating with field-based teams to gather and verify site-specific information. You will prepare detailed cost estimates and client proposals, ensuring they are technically compliant with relevant regulations and aligned with client requirements and project objectives.

You will also conduct site visits across the UK to validate survey data and support bid development. Additionally, you will work with the supply chain and subcontractors to obtain quotations and identify value engineering opportunities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an estimator in the EV charging infrastructure and solar PV sectors.
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation and/or City & Guilds 2921.
  • Hold BS 7671 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations) qualification.
  • In-depth knowledge of IET Wiring Regulations and the IET Code of Practice for EV Charging Equipment Installation.
  • Strong understanding of electrical design principles, system layouts, and CAD drawings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, estimating software, and CAD tools.
