Overview

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a team and drive quality deliverables in a leading food manufacturing business.

The site is based in Tasmania and has experienced significant growth, resulting in the need for a Senior Quality Assurance Lead to oversee the quality function and manage the QA team across all processing shifts.

About the Role
  • Lead the site quality function and manage the Quality Assurance team.
  • Develop and continuously improve the Quality Management System to comply with regulatory bodies and drive quality behaviours.
  • Manage internal, external, and third-party customer audits, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
  • Utilise data to develop projects to improve quality performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Leadership: Drive quality excellence throughout the site, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Team Management: Lead and develop a high-performing QA team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Audit Management: Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, including third-party customer audits, to ensure seamless execution and resolution of findings.
  • Process Improvement: Analyse data to identify opportunities for quality enhancements, developing and implementing effective solutions to drive business outcomes.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A degree in Food Science or a related field.
  • Proven experience in hands-on quality management positions within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • An understanding of quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
