Role Overview

The effective lifecycle management of diverse and geographically dispersed portfolios of critical infrastructure and equipment is underpinned by the Bureau's asset management system.

This role will play a key part in the ongoing development, enhancement, and technical support of the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system.

Primarily focusing on IBM Maximo and Maximo Mobile platforms, this position requires extensive experience in Maximo development and configuration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement technical solutions to improve asset management processes and system functionality.
  • Customise applications, automations, escalations, and reports to meet evolving business requirements and support operational teams across the organisation.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Maximo by troubleshooting issues, managing product fixes in partnership with vendors, and ensuring the system remains robust and aligned with best practices.
  • Enable the organisation's adoption of asset management solutions through the provision of technical coaching, training, and clear documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with asset owners, subject matter experts, and vendors to ensure that Maximo solutions support strategic asset management goals.
  • Participate in system upgrades, testing, and integration activities to deliver enhancements that drive efficiency, data integrity, and informed decision-making.
  • Initially focused on the Bureau's observing network assets portfolio, this role has the potential to expand to support a wider range of asset classes including property, ICT, and software assets.
