Highly Skilled Sessional Teacher, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled sessional teacher to join our team at RMIT University. As a casual VE teacher, you will be responsible for delivering course material, assessing students, and supervising students enrolled in selected courses within the program.
Key Responsibilities- Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to teaching and consultancy environments.
- Showcase strong presentation and facilitation skills, and use flexible teaching methods.
- Have experience in competency-based assessment.
- Be skilled in diagnosing learning problems in students, proposing and implementing effective solutions.
- Possess knowledge of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) and software such as CAD or Solid works.
- Ensure current and contemporary vocational competence meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.
- Have experience in relevant industry, with substantial discipline knowledge related to this position.
- A qualification in the TAE40116 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its equivalent; or higher-level qualification in adult education.
- Current industry experience within Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- Demonstrated experience of teaching in Vocational Education is desirable.
This role is subject to passing a Working with Children Check. The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality educational programs and work collaboratively with our experienced team.
The estimated salary range for this role is between $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
