Regional News Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled regional news specialist to create and deliver engaging content to our targeted audience across multiple platforms.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and producing news bulletins, articles, and podcasts that cater to the diverse needs of our listeners and online users.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing compelling news content for various mediums
  • Delivering high-quality news broadcasts to a targeted audience
  • Creating weekly news podcasts that showcase our region's unique stories and events
  • Uploading news stories and updates to social media on a daily basis

Requirements:

  • Strong journalistic skills and experience in creating engaging content
  • Positive attitude and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Confident reading style and excellent communication skills
  • Community focus with local engagement and passion for regional news
  • Sound understanding of media law and ethics
  • Current driver's license

Preferred qualifications include a good understanding of regional news and sport, as well as day-to-day operations of a radio newsroom.
