As a News Journalist, you will be responsible for delivering timely and engaging news content to our audience. You will work closely with our editorial team to produce high-quality articles, features, and other written content.
The ideal candidate will have strong research and writing skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will also be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:- Research and write news articles, features, and other content for our website and print publications.
- Develop and maintain relationships with sources and contacts in the community.
- Contribute to the development of our editorial strategy and ensure that our content is engaging and relevant to our audience.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement story ideas and pitches.
- A degree in Journalism or a related field.
- Proven experience in news journalism, preferably in a regional or local market.
- Excellent writing and reporting skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with sources and contacts.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
