Database Administrator Role

The Royal Children's Hospital is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join their ICT department. This role will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, security and integrity of databases used at RCH.

  • This includes proactive monitoring and capacity planning as well as Business as Usual (BAU) and project-based support.
  • The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of RCH Cybersecurity protections and administer Oracle e-Business Suite (EBS).
About The Role
  • As a permanent full-time position, you will work within the ICT department to deliver database support services in a 24/7 operating environment.
  • You will work closely with the team to ensure the successful delivery of projects and business requirements.
What You'll Achieve
  • You will design and implement high-quality database solutions that meet the needs of the organisation.
  • You will provide expert-level technical support and guidance to stakeholders across the hospital.
  • You will stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in database administration.
Your Skills And Experience
  • You will have experience working with enterprise-level Oracle and SQL Server database environments.
  • You will have experience administering Oracle e-Business Suite (EBS).
  • You will have experience creating complex reports via SSRS.
  • You will have strong problem-solving skills and be able to communicate complex technical information effectively.
  • You will be able to work autonomously and as part of a team to achieve organisational goals.
