Bundamba State Secondary College seeks a Computer Assistant to support the day-to-day operation and maintenance of its Information and Communication Technology systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping staff and students, thrives in a busy school environment, and has a passion for technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs of computers and associated ICT equipment
  • Assist with the installation and configuration of new hardware and software to support teaching and administrative functions
  • Support the safe operation of computing equipment by monitoring the working environment and implementing preventative measures
  • Provide technical input and assistance with networking computers and related devices to maintain connectivity and access across the school
  • Assist in developing and implementing procedures and guidelines for the correct and safe use of school ICT systems
  • Maintain accurate records of ICT inventory and order replacement parts and supplies as required
  • Ensure tools and equipment used for ICT support are maintained and service-ready
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Current Working with Children Check (BlueCard) or eligibility to obtain one
  • Current DoE Orange Card School Administrator (OC SA) certification
  • Experience in the maintenance and basic repair of computer hardware
  • Prior experience working in a school or education environment preferred
