Dynamic CSSD Leader

Drive excellence in Central Sterilising Services by leading daily operations, ensuring high-quality sterilisation services for clinical teams.

About the Role:

We seek a dedicated and experienced leader to coordinate activities, schedule workloads, and resolve operational issues while maintaining high standards of sterilisation and infection control practices.

  • Maintain efficient workflows and monitor electronic tracking systems for instrument processing.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external contractors for timely repairs and service delivery.
  • Mentor and support CSSD staff through induction, training, and supervision.
  • Participate in audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Health - Sterilising Practice for Technicians or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a CSSD environment.
  • Strong knowledge of AS5369 standards and sterilisation practices.
  • Proven leadership experience and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High-level planning, organisational, and analytical abilities.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Membership with SRACA (Sterilising and Research Advisory Council of Australia).
  • Familiarity with HICMR and SRACA standards.
  • Experience in delivering customer service within a healthcare setting.
