Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Data Science Leader to drive our analytics and data science practice forward. As a leader, you will be responsible for guiding clients through complex transformations, leading data science teams, and supporting the growth of our regional business.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Ability to guide top executives in making informed decisions based on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence algorithms.
  • Developing and deploying full-stack scalable data analytics and machine learning solutions for broad problem spaces and industries.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest algorithms and trends in data science.
  • Providing expertise on industry/functional topics to support business growth.
  • Leading the development of vision, mission, and core values for the data science team to foster a culture of innovation.
  • Working with senior management and partners to identify and prioritize impactful insights across various business areas.

Requirements

  • A PhD or minimum of a Master's degree in Statistics, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or any other related quantitative field.
  • 8+ years of experience in a data science capacity within a business setting, working as a Senior Data Scientist.
  • Fluent spoken and written English language skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas in a simplified and business-applicable manner.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in developing and applying Machine Learning models.
  • Experience with data manipulation techniques, including ETL/ETLV.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as R, Python, or Scala.
  • Experience with data visualization platforms like Tableau, D3.js, or Kibana.
  • Knowledge of database management systems, including Graph/NoSQL databases and RDBS platforms.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Experience in software development practices and technical documentation.

Consulting Skills

  • Versatility and flexibility in resolving technical issues and dealing with ambiguity.
  • Understanding business requirements and translating them into well-engineered technical solutions.
  • Commitment to quality and timely delivery; proven ability to establish and meet milestones and deadlines.
  • Customer-focused approach to understand and respond to customers' business needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with clients, peers, and management to develop solutions and ensure stakeholder buy-in.
