Position Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our team at Bradnam's Windows and Doors.

The Maintenance Fitter will be responsible for a range of tasks within our manufacturing environment, including but not limited to:

  • Operating and maintaining aluminium extrusion machinery and related equipment
  • Responding to equipment breakdowns and performing repairs
  • Conducting routine preventive maintenance tasks
  • Diagnosing mechanical issues and implementing solutions
  • Reading and interpreting hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics
  • Disassembling and reassembling machinery as needed
  • Performing welding, machining (mill & lathe), and fabrication tasks

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday with a total of 38 hours per week

Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM + 15% Shift Loading

Night Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM + 30% Shift Loading

Candidate Profile - Skills & Experience

  • Strong focus on safety
  • At least two years of recent experience as a maintenance fitter in a manufacturing setting
  • Relevant trade qualifications
  • Effective communication skills
  • Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Intermediate computer proficiency
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Positive attitude with a hands-on approach
  • Availability for weekend work is essential

Highly Desirable Qualifications

  • Forklift license (LF) is required
  • Knowledge of PLC systems is advantageous
