About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant Venue Manager - Aquatics and Leisure. This is a 6-month fixed-term position, covering maternity leave, and provides an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and experience in the leisure industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the facility, adhering to operational practices, contractual requirements, quality systems, legislative regulations, and industry guidelines.
  • Drive a customer-centric approach to the provision of programs and services, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Oversee the programming side of the venue, including GoSwim and Squads, with a strong background in Learn to Swim programming required.
  • Collaborate with the Centre Manager to develop and manage the customer journey, ensuring growth, retention, and profitability through the development of channel strategies.
  • Oversee OHS processes and management systems provided by Belgravia Leisure and legislative regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Management experience, with a strong background in Learn to Swim programming.
  • Financial management experience, particularly around sales, growth, and retention of memberships.
  • Experience in member sales and retention, and understanding a centre's operation.
  • HR management experience, including Working with Children and National Police Check.
  • Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2) and Current CPR Certificate.
