Staff Software Engineer, Network Security Automation Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our Cloud and Network Automation team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing custom software-driven automation solutions for integrating and managing network elements such as Firewalls, Switches, and other Network Assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop automation tools and platforms for network assets management.
- Engage with and provide consultative assistance to engineering stakeholders, including network engineers to requirement gather and understand solution requirements.
- Integrate API-based solutions for efficient automation, configuration, and monitoring.
- Ensure appropriate documentation throughout the end-to-end delivery.
- Ensure automation tools comply with security standards and best practices.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for deploying automation solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automation tools and network security configurations.
- Document processes, configurations, and workflows related to network automation.
Requirements
- Advanced level knowledge of at least 1 programming language (Python, Java, Javascript/Typescript).
- Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- API development and integration expertise.
- Container and virtualisation technologies such as Docker, Podman.
- Orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of network fundamentals – switching, routing, and firewalls.
- Clear and effective communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
