Leadership Opportunity

We seek a Director of Medical Services to drive strong clinical and medical leadership in shaping medical workforce strategy, ensuring high quality medical care, and driving continuous improvement in patient safety, quality, and experience.

This pivotal role will lead clinical governance, ensure compliance with legal and regulatory obligations, oversee and support Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs), employed doctors, and doctors in training. You will also drive continuous improvement in patient safety, quality, and experience, collaborate on business development, service planning, and strategic initiatives, represent the organization internally and externally, and champion a culture of excellence, safety, and compassionate care.

The ideal candidate has MBBS - Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, sound knowledge of the health industry and experience of medical and clinical service delivery in Australian healthcare, both private and public. They should have highly developed clinical governance skills, including medical credentialing and root cause analysis, ability to work autonomously, possess excellent conceptual and organisational skills, and utilise objective analysis of multiple viewpoints to incorporate staff input, feedback and ideas.
