Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Strategy Expert to lead complex data migration initiatives within the banking sector. This role is part of a high-impact transformation program requiring both technical expertise and strategic insight.

You will be deeply involved in solution design and hands-on delivery while guiding clients on best practices, migration roadmaps, and risk mitigation strategies. Your ability to translate intricate technical concepts into clear communication will be a key differentiator.

The Role Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive data migration plans across large-scale banking platforms (core systems, reporting layers, regulatory datasets, etc.).
  • Collaborate with senior business and technical stakeholders to define migration scope, approach, and success criteria.
  • Analyze existing data landscapes and develop fit-for-purpose migration strategies, aligned to business risk appetite and timelines.
  • Work closely with data architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless migration delivery across multiple phases.
  • Serve as the trusted advisor to clients guiding them through critical decision points on tooling, sequencing, validation, and cutover.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and remediation strategies across the migration lifecycle.
Key Requirements
  • Proven track record delivering end-to-end data migrations in banking or financial services.
  • Deep familiarity with data structures, ETL tools, cleansing/validation, and cutover strategies.
  • Strong capability in stakeholder management across business, operations, and IT.
  • Experience working in consulting-style environments or internal transformation teams.
  • Excellent documentation, reporting, and executive-level communication skills.
