About the Role

We seek an experienced Operations Manager to oversee flight execution. Reporting to the Centre Manager, you will manage delays and disruptions, minimizing their impact on charter clients and passengers.

Main responsibilities include maintaining performance, safety, compliance, and client satisfaction while ensuring clear communication with stakeholders.

Successful candidates should possess excellent problem-solving skills, remain calm under pressure, and have a passion for making a tangible impact behind the scenes.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Adhere to a zero-harm policy, actively participating in safety programs to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain schedule integrity, ensuring flights are crewed and meeting EBA and operational requirements.
  • Communicate disruption or recovery plans to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor operations across the network, identifying threats to on-time performance or safety.
  • Optimize landing slots and adjust schedules as needed to benefit the company and clients.
  • Schedule aircraft allocation, considering maintenance, aerodrome limitations, training, and special client requirements.
  • Re-crew flights due to crew illness, disruption, or new charter flights.
  • Provide timely updates to crews regarding roster changes, delays, or relevant operational information.
  • Liaise with client organizations on day-to-day issues, emphasizing effective communication during disruptions.
  • Ensure timely communication to clients about operational details affecting service delivery.
  • Stay familiar with applicable Company manuals, regulations, employment awards, and other documentation relevant to the position.
  • Liaise with management for unscheduled flight authorization.
  • Activate the emergency management team if required and monitor aircraft movements at the Perth base via VHF frequency.
  • Carry out tasks requested by the Centre Manager.

  • Ability to operate autonomously within a team environment.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and applications.

Bonus qualifications include:

  • Experience using airline operational or reservations systems.
  • Tertiary studies in aviation, business, or similar fields.
  • Knowledge of airline industry terminology.
