As a Community Engagement Officer, you will play a key role in supporting and delivering projects that progress the establishment and ongoing functions of our organisation.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with Aboriginal communities and stakeholders across NSW. This includes project management, community engagement, event management, monitoring and reporting, and stakeholder consultation.

Key Requirements
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Skilled at building strong relationships and managing stakeholder interests, especially with Aboriginal communities.
  • Consultation & Communication: Ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience in project management, including report and brief preparation, resource coordination, and project monitoring.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to develop knowledge of local, regional, and state Aboriginal language activities to support community language learning.
