About the Role
This opportunity exists to support a recently awarded project in Rockhampton as a Health and Safety Advisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing SHEQ support services on-site, preparing safety management plans, conducting site investigations, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance with Broad's systems and legislative requirements.
You will need to be highly motivated, well-organized, and committed to the highest work standards and safety practices. Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and subcontractors is also essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide SHEQ support services on-site, including preparing safety management plans, conducting site investigations, audits, and inspections.
- Assist and advise on-site teams on health and safety matters.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to SHEQ activities.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in the construction industry.
- Demonstrable experience in implementing Safety Management Systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office and exposure to in-house health, safety, and environment systems (e.g., Cintellate).
- Robust understanding of Commonwealth Construction Safety legislation.
- Solid communication and management skills to lead, challenge, and improve safety practices on-site.
Salary and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $85,000-$110,000 per annum, plus superannuation and benefits. You will have the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects and participate in ongoing professional development within a supportive and friendly team environment.
