Job Title:

A skilled Solid Plasterer is required to work on various external façade projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of traditional and acrylic render systems, as well as the ability to read and interpret basic plans and instructions.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Level and smooth render layers to ensure a consistent thickness and uniform finish
    • Create decorative textures in finishing coats, including sponging, stippling, and trowelled effects
    • Repair damaged plasterwork and restore weathered or cracked external walls
    • Straighten and plumb wall and surface corners to precise specifications
    • Cut and fit mesh or laths to strengthen render when required
    • Maintain tools and work areas in a clean and safe condition
    • Follow all health and safety procedures on-site
  • Qualifications and Skills:
    • AQF Certificate III in Solid Plastering or equivalent qualification
    • At least two years of on-the-job training or three years of relevant experience may substitute formal qualification
    • ANZSCO Skill Level 3
    • Proven experience as a Renderer or Solid Plasterer, ideally with external façade work
    • Strong hand skills and attention to detail in surface preparation and finish
    • Ability to read and interpret basic plans and instructions
    • Familiarity with both traditional and acrylic render systems
    • Understanding of safety requirements and site protocols
    • Capable of working independently or as part of a team
    • Registration or licensing may be required depending on state requirements
