Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Support Specialist to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Linux-based infrastructure and applications, as well as experience with various programming languages such as Python, Go, C, or C++.

This is a remote role that requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for troubleshooting and fixing complex technical issues in open-source software.

Responsibilities
  • Resolve intricate customer problems related to Ubuntu, Kernel, Ceph, OpenStack, Kubernetes, or other open-source software
  • Maintain close working relationships with Field, Support, and product engineering teams
  • Participate in upstream communities and contribute to the development of bug fixes, backports, and patches
  • Review code produced by colleagues and demonstrate good judgment in technical methods and techniques
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise in Computer Science, STEM, or a related field
  • Background in Linux and open-source software, with experience in at least one programming language mentioned above
  • A drive to learn unfamiliar technology and deep-dive into difficult issues
