Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sample Transport Specialist to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, has excellent communication skills, and is able to manage their time effectively.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring the efficient transportation of pathology samples, and maintaining accurate records.

The ideal candidate will have a current full driver's license, prior experience in a customer-facing role, and excellent communication and time management skills.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Routine courier runs for the pickup and delivery of pathology samples, including urgent specimens, blood products, test results, and clinical waste
  • Liaising between Referring Medical Practitioners and the Medical Liaison Officer with regards to store orders
  • Processing, packing, and delivery of supplies to Medical Practitioners as required
  • Preparation and delivery of reports and stock control in main laboratory
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and integrity
  • Compliance and adherence with Policies and Procedures, Work Health and Safety Procedures, and Quality Assurance processes

Requirements:

  • A current full (unrestricted) driver licence
  • Prior experience delivering an exceptional customer experience
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Ability to manage a minimum of 30 stops per day
  • Ability to follow instructions and use initiative to make sound decisions
  • Vaccine preventable disease evidence such as Hepatitis B and COVID-19 is a requirement of this role
