Disability Employment Team Leader

We are seeking a motivated and experienced leader to oversee our daily operations and support people with disabilities in achieving their employment goals.

The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups. They will also have relevant tertiary qualifications and/or proven experience in the disability sector.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing daily operations and managing competing priorities.
  • Supervising staff and providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Developing and implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with employers and community organizations.

The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent communication and organizational skills. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve outstanding results.

Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or proven experience in the disability sector.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Experience in working with and implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans.
  • Proven experience in staff supervision and site management.
  • High level of computer literacy.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • NDIS New Worker Screening and completion of The NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality, Safety & You (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain before commencing).
