Principal Advisor Role

The role of a Principal Advisor entails providing expert clinical advice and undertaking compliance activities related to client management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Offer sound counsel on sensitive case matters.
  • Conduct monitoring and compliance activities, case reviews, and service enhancements to support client care.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with stakeholders providing services to clients with high forensic and disability needs.
  • Provide advice, education, training, and information to service providers in accordance with evidence-based practice.
  • Develop and deliver services for forensic clients with intellectual disability.
  • Collect and analyze data, identify risks, and prepare reports on operational issues.

Accurate records must be maintained in accordance with legislative requirements and departmental policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide sound advice and guidance to stakeholders. A strong understanding of clinical practices and procedures is essential, as is the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Advanced knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations is also required, along with the ability to analyze complex data and prepare reports.
