Manufacturing Engineering Career Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing or revising mechanical or electrical engineering documents, including CAD models, drawings, bills of material (BOMs), and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as liaison between Product Engineering, R&D, and Operations teams
  • Learn processes, tools, and systems used by Engineering, R&D, and Manufacturing
  • Configure products according to requirements or product change requests
  • Document critical manufacturing processes and implement Standard Operating Procedures
  • Partner with Engineering and R&D to ensure new products are designed for manufacturing and suitable for factory
  • Assist Sales and end customers to expedite products when required while documenting changes for tracking and traceability
  • Implement LEAN manufacturing principles to improve shopfloor productivity
  • Review designs for design for manufacturing and design for maintenance perspective and provide constructive feedback
  • Create Manufacturing Bill of Materials in ERP systems and ensure product build is always as per Engineering requirements and approvals
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar field
  • AS1100 knowledge essential
  • Mechanical drafting and manufacturing experience essential: metal fabrication, sheet metal, machining detail, threads, and welding designations
  • 3D experience essential
  • The ability to apply engineering first principles such as stress analysis and analysis of materials and finishes
  • Experience working with an ERP system is a plus; experience with SAP is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
