Senior Middleware Database Administrator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Middleware Database Administrator to join our motivated team in supporting statewide systems within the Digital Health Branch. The role involves providing high-level technical expertise and analysis to design, implement, and optimize database technologies including Oracle middleware and APEX, Forms and Reports.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Install, configure, test, and implement server-level software components for software development and operational services.
    • Prepare comprehensive reports, documentation, and recommendations on software and database technology performance.
    • Establish effective working relationships internally and externally to ensure alignment and integration of operational services and processes.
  • Requirements:
    • Extensive hands-on experience with database administration, patching, cloning, upgrades, migrations, troubleshooting, applications security, and performance tuning.
    • Ability to provide high-level technical expertise, system analysis, and solution design for enterprise infrastructure.
    • Capacity to gather insights and innovate to inform future practice.
  • Working Conditions:
    • Occasional travel may be required within the state or interstate.
