About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Visual Journalist to join our team in Australia. As a Visual Journalist, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality visual content that tells the story of Australia and its people.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate compelling visual content that meets the highest standards of journalism.
- Work closely with our team of reporters and editors to develop and pitch story ideas.
- Travel to breaking news stories and cover events as needed.
- Develop and maintain a network of freelance contributors to support our visual journalism efforts.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of visual journalism and apply this knowledge to our storytelling.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of four years' experience in visual journalism.
- Excellent storytelling skills and a passion for visual storytelling.
- Strong news judgment and the ability to work under pressure.
- Good understanding of the latest digital technologies for photographing, filming, editing, and transmitting visuals.
