About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced procurement professional to join our team at the NSW Department of Customer Service. As a Procurement Officer, you will play a critical role in managing procurement activities for our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Validate business needs and provide advice on procurement-related matters to stakeholders across the agency.
  • Implement and contribute to the development of contract management plans, resolve issues, and negotiate contract variations.
  • Identify, mitigate, and escalate procurement risks to ensure the organization meets its obligations and maximizes business opportunities.
  • Maintain and update procurement records and generate reports on procurement and contract activity.
Requirements
  • Strong experience in technology procurement, commercial negotiation, and end-to-end sourcing.
  • Demonstrated experience sourcing data and building finance and procurement reports using PowerBI.
  • Experience using eTendering with a focus on publication of tenders, addendums, and contract award notices.
  • Comprehensive understanding of technologies and ICT trends.
  • Comfortable supporting large tender processes.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of NSW Government procurement policies and practice.
