Australian Red Cross is a leading humanitarian organisation dedicated to supporting people in need. We are seeking an experienced Migration Support Specialist to join our team.

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate professional to provide individualised case management support to migrants and refugees in Sydney, NSW. As a Case Worker, you will be responsible for conducting safety plans, risk assessments, and developing case plans to meet the health and welfare needs of clients referred to our Support Program.

The ideal candidate will have experience in high-quality casework support and case management, with a demonstrated understanding of how to holistically assess complex client needs. You will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff and clients from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough safety plans and risk assessments to identify client needs
  • Develop and implement effective case plans to support clients with complex needs
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to source appropriate support for clients
  • Provide culturally sensitive and trauma-informed care to clients
Requirements:
  • Degree in Social Work or related field
  • Experience in casework support and case management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff and clients from diverse backgrounds
