Oral Health Therapist


Overview:

The role of an Oral Health Therapist is to conduct comprehensive oral health assessments and create individualized care plans for patients. This involves providing preventative dental services, educating patients and their families about oral health maintenance, and collaborating with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough oral health assessments and develop personalized care plans.
  • Provide preventative dental treatments such as fluoride applications, sealants, and dental hygiene treatment.
  • Educate patients and their families on maintaining good oral health through preventive practices.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Ensure accurate patient records and maintain compliance with relevant health regulations.

About You:

You are a compassionate and dedicated professional who is passionate about making a positive impact on patients' lives through education and care. As an Oral Health Therapist, you will be skilled in building rapport with patients and providing a comfort-focused experience.


Qualifications:
  • A degree or qualification in Oral Health Therapy or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience working as an OHT in Australia or the UK.
  • Registration with the Dental Board of Australia.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy for patients and the ability to create a supportive environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
  • Flexibility to work full-time or part-time, including alternate Saturdays.
