Job Title: Clinical Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Senior Mental Health Clinician. The ideal candidate will provide high-level clinical advice and support to parents experiencing significant mental health issues affecting their infants.

This is a temporary opportunity to work in the Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Service. You will be based at Caringbah Community Health Centre, located on the campus of The Sutherland Hospital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide time-limited, intensive specialist perinatal and infant mental health support to parents and their infants
  • Liaise with maternity services and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care
  • Develop and implement education tools and programs to support staff in delivering exceptional service
  • Work collaboratively with various stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for families
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Social Worker or Occupational Therapist qualifications in accordance with relevant state and federal regulations
  • Extensive post-graduate clinical experience in mental health, including working with families of infants
  • Excellent negotiation, decision-making, and advocacy skills
  • Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and apply advanced reasoning skills
