About the Position

This is a full-time role for an Electric Power Specialist who will work rotating shifts, Monday through Friday. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing electrical repairs and maintenance to applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Proactively identify potential plant improvements
  • Develop preventative maintenance systems to maximize productivity
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and personal transportation required due to lack of public transportation
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Understanding of SCADA Systems
  • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with colleagues and supervisors
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong emphasis on planned preventative maintenance systems
  • Able to perform tasks in a safe and timely manner
  • Capable of task scheduling for timely repairs and maintenance
Desirable Experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a tradesman
  • QLD electrical work license
  • Experience in an industrial maintenance environment
  • Prior experience with PLCs, instrumentation, and control systems
  • Experience in manufacturing/continuous operation, preferably in the food manufacturing industry
