Job Title: Data Risk/Privacy Specialist

Experis is seeking a highly skilled Data Risk/Privacy Specialist to join our team in Sydney CBD. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our clients' data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement data risk management strategies to mitigate potential threats and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify and prioritize data protection risks, and develop recommendations for mitigation and remediation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data protection controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide expert guidance and oversight on data protection and privacy risk strategy and compliance, focusing on areas that present higher data privacy risks.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive data protection program, including incident response planning, data breach notification, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data protection and risk management, and apply this knowledge to inform our data protection strategies.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of data protection laws and regulations, including the Privacy Act and Australian Privacy Law.
  • Proven experience in data risk management, data protection, and compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
