Job Role: Catering Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve meals and beverages in accordance with dietary requirements and hospital standards.
  • Maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe working environment at all times.
  • Assist the catering team with daily operations and special requirements.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Work across a rotating 7-day roster, including morning and afternoon shifts.
Requirements:
  • Reliable team player with a positive attitude and strong commitment to patient care and food safety.
  • Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional manner.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage time effectively.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or commercial kitchen setting is highly regarded but not essential.
  • Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster.
  • Willingness to embrace and promote core values.
  • Certificate II or III in Hospitality is desirable.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food handling compliance.
