About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rail Track Supervisor/Senior Supervisor to join our Rail Operations team in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of trackwork projects, ensuring timely and profitable completion, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead by example in promoting a zero-harm site safety policy, encouraging safe work practices among team members.
  • Manage day-to-day trackwork activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Supervise a team to deliver trackwork on weekend shutdowns, ensuring seamless execution and minimal disruption.
  • Oversee subcontractors and employees, ensuring assigned work meets quality and time requirements, and stays within planned milestones and budgets.
  • Provide daily progress updates to the Construction Manager and planning and scheduling team.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes and specifications, and implement client requirements.
  • Manage resources to ensure suitable plant and materials are available as needed.
  • Contribute to planning work packs and deliver pre-start and toolbox meetings.
About You
  • Hold track technical trade qualifications for installation of track, with extensive experience in a similar supervisory role and a proven track record of working with other construction companies in Australia.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, and strong relationship-building abilities to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exhibit a collaborative, safety-focused, and results-driven leadership style, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
