Mining Trainer Role
This is a residential position requiring training expertise and skill in the safe and consistent operation of mobile plant and equipment.
The primary responsibilities include:
- coordinating and executing pit permits;
- maintaining training records in accordance with all statutory policies and procedures;
- conducting group and individual training sessions; both theoretical and hands-on experience required;
- championing the development and review of work procedures for operational efficiency;
- identifying and implementing projects to enhance training resources and activities; maximizing competence and performance;
- completing workplace inspections and contractor training audits as necessary.
We seek a safety-focused, proactive and positive individual with strong presentation and communication skills to join our team as Mining Trainer:
- A Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessing or equivalent;
- training experience in mobile equipment operations in open-pit mining settings;
- 4+ years' experience as Mobile Plant Operator or similar industry-related background;
- excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills to foster trust and confidence among teams;
- a current 'HR' class Driver's License for site mobility.
