Appian Technical Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient professional to fill the role of Appian Technical Specialist.

You'll collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, QA, and project managers to design scalable solutions and optimize business workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for Appian-based solutions.
  2. Collaborate with Appian developers to design workflows, data models, user interfaces, and integrations.
  3. Create documentation such as solution designs, process flows, and test cases.
  4. Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  5. Monitor performance and recommend optimizations or enhancements.
  6. Maintain knowledge of Appian best practices, emerging features, and platform capabilities.
  7. Liaise with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, architects, and infrastructure teams.
  8. Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working with the Appian BPM platform (Appian Certified Associate Developer or higher preferred).
  • Strong understanding of Appian architecture, objects (records, interfaces, process models), and design principles.
  • Proficiency in writing SQL queries and working with relational databases.
  • Experience in integrating Appian with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
