Heavy Vehicle Servicing Technician

This role involves working with a modern fleet of trucks and trailers to perform routine servicing tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and engine tune-ups. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic and be able to work efficiently in a service-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine servicing tasks to keep vehicles running smoothly and meeting emissions and fleet standards.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults using advanced diagnostic tools and systems.
  • Inspect engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components for wear or issues.
  • Replace defective parts and reassemble components with precision, relying on service manuals when required.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and prepare detailed reports or issue roadworthy certificates.
  • Test and adjust mechanical systems post-service to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Provide occasional on-site support for breakdowns with a focus on quick fixes and getting vehicles back on the road.

The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude towards work.

Requirements:
  • Qualifications & Experience: A Mechanical Trade qualification with proven experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic is essential.
