About this Role

The Suicide Clinical Care Co-ordinator position plays a pivotal role within the Acute Response Team to support clinical pathways and provide leadership.

This includes coordinating the implementation of evidence-based suicide prevention strategies, planning and evaluating intervention and postvention tactics, delivering education, and reviewing data.

As a key contributor, you will leverage your clinical expertise to implement and adapt best-practice suicide prevention and intervention approaches.

You will also facilitate the development and delivery of education and training on suicide prevention for various professions and services.

In addition, you will collaborate with CYMHS to educate staff and coordinate care and referrals for mental health consumers, ensuring seamless patient flow between services.

You will provide high-level clinical services, including independent assessment, treatment, and case management for children and young people with complex mental health issues and their families.

You will help develop clinical practice procedures and protocols, provide specialized mental health advice, and work with the team on multi-disciplinary assessments and interventions.

Sharing mental health knowledge and skills for team training and professional development is an important responsibility.

Last but not least, you will lead efforts to develop, implement, and evaluate clinical activities to improve care for children and young people with severe and complex mental health problems.
