Role Overview

We are seeking a Student Support Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating support services for students with diverse needs, including those with challenging behaviors and mental health concerns.

You will work closely with teachers, families, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized program plans, conduct comprehensive assessments, and provide evidence-based interventions to support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational assessments to identify students' strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement individualized program plans (IPPs) to address students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to design and deliver evidence-based interventions.
  • Provide consultation and coaching to staff on strategies for supporting students with challenging behaviors and mental health needs.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive program plans for students with complex needs.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in School Psychology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of educational legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • Demonstrated expertise in assessment, intervention, and program development for students with diverse needs.
  • Familiarity with multi-disciplinary programs for children and youth with behavioral and mental health needs.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in using assistive technology.
