Hospital Coordinator Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hospital Coordinator to lead our nursing and animal attendant teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead daily hospital rounds and morning huddles, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Collaborate with senior nursing leaders and department heads to drive clinical excellence and patient care outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for predictable, repeatable care, aligning with the organization's medical identity.
  • Partner with the Clinical Director to optimize care delivery and promote a consistent approach across all ARH sites.

Team Management & Development:

  • Recruit, induct, develop, and retain nursing talent through structured career planning, fostering a high-performing, collaborative team culture.
  • Create and manage a master roster aligned with organizational needs, balancing resources across departments to meet changing demands.
  • Manage referral coordination directly or through delegation, collaborating with Radiographer, Anaesthetist, and other departments to optimize workflow.

Policy & Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and legal requirements, contributing to policy development and procedural improvements.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality across all interactions, supporting team members in problem-solving and change implementation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Veterinary nursing qualifications or veterinary degree, with experience in hospital coordination or team leadership in a Specialist Hospital.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
