Seeking an experienced Cook to join our team at Milestones Early Learning Bushland Beach.
About the RoleThis role enables you to play a vital part in creating healthy menus for children of all ages. You will be responsible for preparing, implementing and evaluating the nutritional content of menus, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Able to prepare, implement and evaluate the nutritional content of menus for children of all ages.
- Experienced in bulk meal preparation, online ordering, stock management and budget control.
- Strict about complying with relevant food safety and hygiene regulations and standards.
- Able to cater for individual child requirements including allergies, specific dietary requirements and needs.
- Keen to participate in the early educational opportunities of teaching children about healthy food by sharing in lessons and family events.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing high-quality meals for our children.
About YouYou will need to have:
- A current Food Safety and Handlers Certificate.
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (desirable).
- Experience in an early childhood setting.
- Reliable transport to and from our centre.
- A current first aid certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) and resuscitation certificate.
