Salary: The estimated annual salary for this role is AU$120,000 - AU$160,000, depending on experience.

About the Job

The Safeguarding Health and Safety Expert will be responsible for managing the overall safety performance of the ADC, providing information to enable the site to achieve strategic health, safety, and wellbeing objectives. They will foster and maintain a work environment conducive to operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement safety strategies in partnership with State Managers and key stakeholders
  • Provide direction, advice, and practical support to store area management teams on safety, workers compensation, injury management, and wellbeing related matters
  • Ensure legislative requirements and good practice are achieved within stores
  • Support HSE management systems and initiatives
  • Ensure the identification of emerging risk exposures, develop, and monitor risk registers, and ensure mitigation of identified risks are put into effect
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and incident investigations at a regional level
  • Audit systems and close-out corrective actions

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in a Senior Safety leadership role, a strong background working in an operational FMCG distribution centre, manufacturing, or automated environment, and a proven record of successfully implementing strategic plans.
